An exploration of everything I adore or find interesting from yesteryear, my favourite being the Art Deco period. Mostly 30's but also some occasional dabblings in 20's and 40's and every now and then other times that still tie in with the aesthetic.

Art Deco Wall Face Plaques
Sometimes referred to as wall face masks or wall pockets, usually made from clay or plaster. Often ment to look like movie stars of the day and made in Germany, Czech Republic and England. These beauties were popular decor in the 30's and I've been swooning over them for a while now, hoping to find one at the right price at the right time to mount on my boudoir wall. For now I just have a printed out picture of one with bright blue kiss curled hair above my art deco dressing table that I had the good fortune of finding on hard rubbish day a while back. Imagine how cool it would look to have a cluster of these ladies hanging from the wall?
