My Vintage Shop
Here's some photos of my booth H29 in the centre of "The Cool Room" (an old factory freezer room) section of the Waverley Antiques Bazaar 11a Aristoc Rd Glen Waverly open 7 days 10am-5pm. It's a MASSIVE antique centre within a warehouse with 165 stalls, I've been there three times and still not seen all the stalls, I could wonder around in there happily for days. It's a must see for any vintage lover in Victoria. My last visit I bought a second hand turquoise vintage reproduction bike, the kind I've been lusting after for years! And a gorgeous Art Deco ceramic and bakelite kettle. I'll post some pics of those soon along with some other lovely 1930's era items I spotted there.. but for now, my shop....
Everything you need to have a wonderland style tea party... vintage tableware.
Pink and white dollhouse with kitten and yarn decals. Patchwork Blankie. Black haired porcelain doll.
Grass green drawers. Frames. Porcelain ornaments. Vintage Avon bell glass bottle. Antique milk glass. Hand Tatted lace doiley.
1930's Lavender "meat safe" or Ice box, for storage of foods before fridges. I repainted this one as it was in need of some love, but it's original colour was lavender too, just a slightly paler shade but a pretty good match.
Vintage kitchen items, decorative plates, porcelain and gold gilt juicer, pastel green scalloped saucer, platters, chenille, Carlton Ware wall vase, squirrel and easter mugs, framed girl in field picking flowers under a tree print, 1930's actress in frame.
These green shelves and the tea party table itself are the only furniture items not for sale. I need those for display. On the shelves I have books, Blankets, poncho, bed spreads, pillow cases, cushions, ornaments, porcelain, glass ware, framed prints of 1930's actresses and models, framed mirror art, framed foil art, framed pressed flowers, purses, fishnets, vessels, biscuit tins, vases, puzzles of wind in the willows, owls, cottage and various woodland animals, jadeite green alarm clock, red back seamed tights, hand mirrors, hair brush, various boudoir items etc
Books on gardening, plants, herbs, rocks and minerals, animals, space, the universe, art, art deco glass, crafts, sewing, creativity, flowers, the vicorian era, DIY etc. Handmade Crochet and knitted blankets and poncho, patchwork quilts, bed spreads, sheets, table clothes, pillow cases, cushion covers, etc
Aqua blue bedside table, 1930's pink silk satin and nude lace bed jacket, fluro pastel pink knitted cardigan bed jacket, embroidered cushions, pastel rainbow crochet blanket, 1930's Sylvac posy trough vase, frosted blue glass refillable perfume bottle with tasselled puffer, framed Jean Harlow print, porcelain swan vessel.
collectable vintage sweets tins, boudoir items like hand mirrors, one with roses, twisted lucite handle and art deco details, the other with gold and roses design, and a hair brush with gold embroidery. Jewellery Box, porcelain ornaments, moon dish and vessel, unopened embroidered place mats, sleeping cat, back seamed stockings, matching pair of flapper ladies..etc
Oh and I'm wearing a peachy orange 1930's dress with lattice peplum. It's my current favourite dress, it's super comfortable but also a very flattering cut that tends to hang beautifully.
